Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

On-site/ Remote/ Hybrid: On Site

Location: Victoria, B.C.

Job Type: Our client, located in Victoria, B.C. provides inspection, survey, design engineering, and project implementation support worldwide to owners, operators, and regulators of floating assets using subject matter experts in the fields of naval architecture, marine engineering, project management, environmental stewardship, and marine operations, with extensive experienced in the marine sector.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple projects intra-office: Burnaby and Victoria
• Direct management of large projects
• Oversee other project managers that are leading smaller to medium sized projects.
• Provide guidance to technical staff as and when required within your area of expertise
• Lead resource management meetings and strategic resource planning for short-term and long-term company objectives
• Review deliverables to ensure the level of effort, quality and scope objectives for the client are met.
• Manage budgets, schedule, and scope for projects, change orders (intra-office, focused BBY)
• Lead or assist in development of various proposals including scoping, scheduling, and pricing.
• Participate in development of business where opportunities are identified, includes presentations and LinkedIn exposure.
• Act as owner’s representative for construction projects for new construction and refits. May require trips/travel to construction sites for short durations.
• Participate in executive management strategies, Accounts receivable review, work in progress reviews.
• Responsible for monitoring and assignment of staff to project work to maximize company utilization and improve project performance.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years experience (Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering)
• Shipyard and in Office experience necessary.
• Experience managing refit and new build projects
• Ability to work with and lead technical staff, engineers, etc.
• Ability to plan and allocate resources, invoice, and run PM Meetings.
• $2M-$500M CapEx Experience
